These projects will replace 6 miles of old, smaller water lines. It will also add 9 fill hydrants and complete 1 loop feed. The original lines in our system are over 40 years old and beginning to fail. In our thirty year plan, we will be replacing the old lines and installing new lines in areas where they are needed. We are replacing all 2 and 2 1/2-inch lines with 6 or 8-inch lines
Hwy 108 Tower
We are planning to repair and rehabilitate the water tower on hwy 108 to return it to service. This will help provide consistant and steady water pressure, plus, it will supply storage for an emergency.
Radio Meter Reading System
We have been working on this for some time now, but there are many steps to getting the radio reading system in place. This will make for more accurate and reliable meter readings that will also provide enhanced benefits, such as slow leak notifications sent to the office so we may alert the member(s).
Long Term Goals
- We are planning to continue to upgrade and replace older, smaller lines.
- Add additional towers to support all areas of our system and reduce the load and reliance on the pump stations.
- Where feasible, complete loop feeds to enhance water quality and flow throughout the system.
